This story begins when an alien race, the Boov, kidnaps eleven-year-old Gratuity (Tip) Tucci's mom, and invades and conquers earth. Tip sets off on a humorous and action packed car trip to Florida to try to find her mother. She eventually gets reunited with other family members and rides real horses.
